- You say only, “Thank you,” or “I’m sorry!” to your husband 90% of the time.
- There is a possibility that you will start crying at all times for no (apparent) reason.
- You don’t have time to exercise.
- You don’t have time to blog.
- You don’t have time to eat.
- You begin to doubt if your emotions are appropriate for the situation you’re in, but decide to dismiss it because you’re too tired to control them anyway.
- You wear dirty or mismatched clothes because you haven’t had time to do laundry.
- You feel like you miss your husband even when he’s right over there.
- You just sit still when you realize you have a few free minutes because your brain isn’t worth anything.
- You are highly motivated to do super creative things but have no time or energy with which to do them.
It’s been a busy few weeks. Last month, I told you I was looking to our first free weekend on May 21. I was wrong. We’ll be waiting until June 4. Sigh.
Linked up at OhAmanda’s Top Ten Tuesday.
*hugs*
My last two months were like that. We literally had plans every weekend and most week nights. It’s grueling.
Hope June 4th comes quickly! And that you can get some good time alone with Dexter so you can have a real conversation. 🙂
Thanks, Sarah! And you did it all while growing a baby and being sick!
God may be preparing you for motherhood Kelsey! 😉 I also cant wait for school to be done! You can come play in our sprinkler with me and the kids this summer.
Haha! The sprinkler sounds great!
I don’t know about that blogging one. I often feel like my blog sucks up too much time. Number 10 is basically my life generally for the last 4 years (since I had kids).
Is there anything I can do to help you?
Thanks, Mom! I actually feel a lot better tonight. Our running around is over, Dexter did a bunch of laundry, and our roommate did the dishes.
I think it would have been really funny if you would have forgotten part of the list, like #3 (randomly selected) as further proof of the overcommittedness and lack of sleep 🙂 Also, it’d be funny to see how many people caught it! When I have overcommitted in the past, I got this sense of pride out of it, like, “see what a busy person I am, I must be important” in my head that wickedly made me say “yes” when I should have said “no.” But the deal is, you’re just interested in that many things and good at a lot of things, and goal-oriented, so it’s hard to step back and let opportunities pass by. However, I can tell you that if you do exercise, you’re supposed to have enough energy to help you through the rest of the day and can get more stuff done. Not sure if you really wanted advice, but you got it anyway! Love ya! A. Amy
Thanks, Amy. You’ll be proud–I’ve exercised 3+ times a week for the last 4 weeks! (Maybe just 2x one week?) And I have generally had a lot more energy! So, it was either the exercise or changing some of my eating habits.
I hear you!!!!
