As part of my 30 Before 30 project, I decided to read 60 books before I turn 30. That’s one book a month for five years. It doesn’t seem like much, but I’m already behind. Instead of wasting time between books deciding what to read, I decided to compile a list to keep me going. Once I get some books checked off my list, this will also be a place where I link to my reviews of the books I’ve read. I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Grace Based Parenting by Dr. Tim Kimmel. It changed my life!
Here are a few to add to your list:
Peace Like a River
Redeeming Love (Francine Rivers)
Atonement Child (Francine Rivers)
A Mother’s Hope
(actually, read all of Francine Rivers book…she’s good)
A Daughter’s Dream (Francine Rivers)
The Dream Giver (Bruce Wilkinson)
The Final Quest (Rick Joyner)
Based on some of the books on your list, I think you would like The Sheer Ecstasy of Being a Lunatic Farmer by Joel Salatin.
The title sounds intriguing. I’ll check it out!
Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden. Such a beautiful book. Obviously better than the movie, too!
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check it out!
What a great challenge! All that reading will change your life! I’m a reader and have a number of great books to recommend, the top 5 being:
1. Faith Like Potatoes: The Story of a Farmer Who Risked Everything for God by Angus Buchan, Jan Greenough
2. First, Break All the Rules: What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently by Marcus Buckingham, Curt Coffman
3. Find Your Strongest Life: What the Happiest and Most Successful Women Do Differently by Marcus Buckingham
4. When the Game Is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box by John Ortberg
5. Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham, Donald O. Clifton
Those all sound interesting. My to-read list is getting longer and longer!
I had to read The Omnivore’s Dilemma for a senior seminar class in college. Not really my preferred topic of reading (Jan Karon books, my current read: The Land Between by Jeff Manion, or my recent find as a 5th grade student teacher: The Lightning Thief series by Rick Riordan!) but it was actually really interesting! Based on the few things I read about you, I think you’ll like it too.
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll check them out!
hey! take a look at both of my lists. there’s a bunch here that you might consider! http://abitofeverythingnow.wordpress.com/books/ & http://abitofeverythingnow.wordpress.com/books-unread/

You should move The Omnivore’s Dilemma to next in queue! Every single person on the planet should read that book. It will change your life, especially since your post about Eating Animals!!
cheers
I actually got to interview Catherine Friend when her book came out! She’s great – very practical, down-to-earth, and she has lambs on her farm.
